We partner with the community to provide available resources in a welcoming environment to people in need.
To improve the quality of life of people in our community by providing resources to help meet today's needs and by giving a helping hand to move from dependence to higher levels of life independence- all services provided within a welcoming environment with respect for every person.
Our staff and volunteers seek to serve with love in our community with each STRIDE
Selflessness: To seek first and always to serve the good of the client.
Teamwork: To work each day in mutual service to all parties.
Respect: To treat all parties as unique and valuable individuals.
Integrity: To be open and fair in all our dealings with every person.
Dedication: To serve with passion and loyalty, recognizing the inherent life-giving benefits of our individual works of service.
Empathy: To seek an understanding of the challenges faced by the clients and to respond with loving patience.
We provide supplemental food once monthly to those in need. Food box recipients who are able to cook in their home will be provided a box with miscellaneous can goods, baked goods, vegetables, various meat, and other extras we have available. Those who are unsheltered qualify for snack packs that include easy open, no cooking required food products.
In 2018, Longview Community Ministries partnered with Newgate Mission, and Meals With Love was born from a desire to provide fresh, hot, quality meals, and we have not looked back. Meals With Love is more than a nutritious meal... Regular social contact and interaction. Nutritious meals without the worry to cook, and less concern about the ability to maintain independence.
