Meals On Wheels

Meals on Wheels provides a hot noon meal five days a week to persons who are homebound and unable to prepare food for themselves.

Meals on Wheels recipients are primarily the elderly who qualify for the program based on physical disability, not economic need (although no person who is unable to pay is denied the service if sufficient funding is available).

Approximately 120 meals are delivered daily by a team of 20 volunteers. In 2007, 27,220 meals were delivered. Twenty congregations currently coordinate this program, utilizing many additional faith-based and community volunteers.
