Souper Bowl Sunday Food Drive

LCM kicks off "Souper" Bowl on Sunday, January 27 - Sunday, February 3, 2013. The mission of the annual event is to encourage our community to join the fight against hunger and poverty. Groups and individuals celebrating the "Souper" Bowl will collect canned goods and non-perishable foods for the Food Box of LCM.

The Food Box is the largest food pantry is the largest food pantry in Longview and served approximately 14,000 families in 2011, distributing over 29,000 bags of food.

For individuals hosting parties in their homes and businesses, LCM will deliver collection boxes and signage to encourage the festivities and donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items.

Longview churches participating in "Souper" Bowl Sunday have the opportunity to join in some friendly competition with other area churches, beginning with a "pre-game" warm-up on Sunday, January 27th. The competition runs through Super Bowl Sunday on February 3rd. Winners will be announced the following week.
