Feinstein Challenge
Special thanks to everyone who participated in the Feinstein Challenge. With the help from individuals, organizations, businesses, and scho ols our total food and monetary donations were $57,900.01! This total surpassed 2011 and 2010's total!
LCM participates in the annual Feinstein Challenge for a $1 million proportionate grant. The Feinstein Foundation, established by Alan Shawn Feinstein encourages nonprofit agencies nationwide to participate by doing extra publicity and events during the months of March and April. Food, financial donations or pledges to the LCM Food Box count toward this award. The more donations received, the higher the percentage of the Feinstein money will be received. Longview Area School and Business Food Drives
LCM sponsors a friendly competition among area schools and businesses who participate in special food drives during Feinstein months of March and April. A traveling trophy is awarded the area school campus that collects the most food items. Business participants are recognized for their participation.
