The Longview Community Ministries was formed in 1983 to serve Longview residents in need by providing temporary assistance to relieve suffering and/or prevent homelessness. Longview Community Ministries meets these needs in many ways:  cooked meals delivered to the homebound; computer skills; free coats & jeans in the fall for youth; emergency medical; and those in a crisis needing help with rent or emergency groceries. To be eligible to receive most services from Longview Community Ministries, all that is needed is a valid photo i.d. and an item of official mail, such as a bill, in order to establish Longview residency.

Longview Community Ministries (LCM) serves in love with support from local Churches, over 400 volunteers, five part-time employees paid by LCM and three part-time employees paid by Vista Federal Program, AmeriCorps Vista.

LCM is a United Way Agency.
