Bi-monthly requests are for foods we are currently unable to purchase through the East Texas Food Bank. Monetary donations are accepted for those foods we can purchase. Remember, 16 cents buys one pound of food!
The Food Box is an emergency food program. Local churches and individuals donate food to give to families in an emergency situation.
In 2007, over 9,350 local families received emergency groceries. Volunteers help sort, pack, and distribute the food for the Food Box.

A new ministry named The Brown Bag Program was added in the fall of 2002 as it was determined that grocery delivery to the homebound was needed in the Longview area. Teams of volunteers deliver bagged food from the food pantry one Saturday a month to elderly and disabled individuals.

CANSTRUCT
"Canstructing" a Community Without Hunger

Since 2004, our popular CanStruct event has been featured at the Longview Mall during Longview Community Ministries Week to promote hunger awareness in our community. Youth from local churches build themed structures using cans of food. At the end of the week, the food is donated to our Food Box pantry.
